WEDDING POLICY AND GUIDELINE
Christian Marriages can always be better! When two beautiful souls come together to establish a Christian home in Marriage, the Church prayerfully and happily provides ample opportunities for the engaged couple to deepen and refine their love for each other.
And, as the engaged couple prepare for the biggest day of their lives, the church want them to have the experience and memories even in suing the church premised because the church is responsible before God for celebrating and witnessing their marriage.
Therefore, with the hope to give the best, here are few polices and guideline to assist them:
1. Kohima Lotha Baptist Church will only recognize marriages between a biological man and woman, therefore, the Pastors and staff shall only participate in wedding and solemnize marriage between a man and a woman. Furthermore, the facilities and property of the Church shall only host wedding between a man and woman.
2. The church requires them to go through a series of pre marital counselling. They will be assigned to a particular counsellor prior to the counselling session according to the counselor’s convenience.
3. Wedding rehearsal will take place on the eve of the wedding.
4. If any wedding that wants to include a cake cutting ceremony, then it has to be part of the wedding ceremony and will be administered inside the Church.
5. Maintain only one register at the wedding reception.
6. Wedding Cards and Program- card & program sample with official participants will be framed-up from the Senior Pastor Office. Please bring a proof of your program for review before printing.
7. The Church also encourages a combine Marriage (Mass Marriage)
8. WEDDING DAY
a. The Church do not conduct Wedding Ceremony from 10th to 15th January.
b. To maintain a common timing i.e 09:00 Am to 12:00 Noon for all Wedding Ceremonies to avoid inconveniences
c. If the wedding day falls on Wednesday and Saturday the decoration team must clear up the things in the main Sanctuary before 3:00 PM
d. No wedding ceremony on Thursdays
9. DECORATIONS (SANCTUARY AND RECEPTION)
a. The wedding Decoration (inside the Church and the Reception) Should be done on the eve of the wedding. You are requested to wrap up lates by 10:00PM
b. To avoid any damages, nailing pews, pulpit and pasting anything on the wall or carpets are strictly prohibited.
c. Shifting or removing of pews, sound system, musical instruments and other movable Church properties are not allowed.
d. Do not shift or remove the flower pots, and anu seasonal church decorations already in place at the tine of your wedding.
e. Be careful with the walls /pillars and floors while setting up the pandal. Any damages caused will be held responsible by the concern party.
f. Please take permission from the Church Authority to use any Church Property.
g. The Decoration team are requested to use the waste-bin/Dustbin provided from deposing the waste left over.
h. Clean the compound after the wedding ceremony. Kindly take responsibility in disposing the trash.
i. The Jubilee Memorial Hall (JMH) will be allowed to use for wedding purposes (Reception, Dinning etc.)
j. The Reception will be held from the First Floor is reserved for parking.
10. SANCTITY
a. Special song must be Christian (Songs that honour Christ) rather than secular. Broadway tunes, and other music that may have meaning for the Bride and Groom but may not be appropriate for a Christian worship in the church. For this reason the Music Director must approve all the songs selections in advance of the ceremony.
b. Let us respect the sanctity of the Church by avoiding inappropriate poses inside the sanctuary especially during photo shoot.
c. The Church expects decency in dress code from the Bride and Groom. Please avoid excessively low neckline or exposing gowns for the brides.
d. Video & photographers must dress decently and appropriately fitting to the occasion.
e. Taking refreshment (tea, snack etc.) are prohibited inside the sanctuary.
f. All forms of intoxicants are strictly prohibited within the Church Premises.
11. WEDDING PACKAGES : The Church offers the following facilities as a package for the wedding feast with a fee of ₹ 25000 ( Twenty Five Thousand) only.
a. Chairs b. Serving tables c. Flower Stand d. Basic Sound system e. Water f. Generator
*** The Wedding party is liable for compensation either restoration or repair in case of any property is lost or damage.
12. The Church wants you to include at least two ushers from church to be part of the team you are forming
13. All wedding parties should adhere to the wedding Guideline laid down by the church Authority.
14. To avert miscommunication/misunderstanding, we ask the Bride and Groom to kindly explain in the advance these policies and guideline to the group and person(s) proposed for their assistance or to log in to this page www.klbc.in
15. During such busy times in preparation for the wedding, we remind the Bride and Groom to take everything in prayers so that they receive guidance and blessing from the Lord. Do get sufficient rest to prevent Stress/burning out before the wedding day. May the couple have a wonderful beginning to a beautiful life ahead.
