GO AND TELL

The theme “Go and Tell” is a call to every believer to live out the Great Commission — the final command of Jesus Christ before His ascension. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said:

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

This divine mandate is not limited by geography, age, or status. It is a mission for all — to go beyond the comfort of the church walls and tell of the hope we have in Christ.

The early church embraced this calling boldly. In Acts 1:8, Jesus promised:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

This reminds us that mission begins right where we are — in our homes, our workplaces, our communities — and then extends outward.

As the Kohima Lotha Baptist Church reflects on this theme, it is an invitation to reignite the passion for evangelism, to tell of God’s love, grace, and salvation, and to be active witnesses in a world that is searching for truth and hope.

Let us rise with courage, moved by compassion, and filled with the Spirit — to go and tell the Good News of Jesus Christ.
